Russia-UAE Tax Treaty (DTT)
Regarding the Russia-UAE Tax Treaty and its implications, we can share the following information.
On 10 February 2023, the IBFD reported that the Russian Ministry of Finance had released a press statement. The statement expressed interest in renegotiating the 2011 Russia–UAE DTC in 2023. Given current global conditions, many wonder why the Russian Ministry of Finance would pursue this.
Interestingly, Russia now seeks to renegotiate the DTC. Many expected it to avoid any move that might increase capital outflows.
